Ryan Shelven, CEO/Founder, has worked in education for more than a decade as a tennis coach and a DEIB director/coordinator. Through his journey, he has witnessed students and adults struggling with boundaries, anxiety, and engaging in difficult conversations.
The concept behind building High Era Wellness is a platform that guides individuals through territories that might look easy to manage on the surface, but are much more complicated to navigate internally.
Working in both athletics and inclusion put him in positions to guide students and adults on their journeys of identity and leadership.
My Story
My story stems from being a leader among youth in both athletics and inclusion work, hearing their stories of struggling to protect their peace while lacking the tools to articulate their needs. As a society, we are taught to assimilate into our surroundings, even when it makes us uncomfortable. Our wellness courses guide individuals in effectively beginning a transformative journey by creating a life that promotes self-preservation.
